Privacy Policy
Plain English, no dark patterns. CertKit Pro is free while in beta and collects the minimum it needs to show you your own progress.
What we collect
If you create an account we store your email address, an optional display name, and the certification data you enter yourself: tracked certifications, target dates, budgets, actual spend, notes, study-plan checkboxes and practice-quiz attempts. Browsing the catalog, calculators and comparisons requires no account and stores nothing about you.
Why we collect it
Only to render your dashboard: readiness meters, exam countdowns, study progress and best practice scores. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell or share your data with third parties.
Where it lives
Your data is stored in our managed Postgres database with row-level security, meaning each row is readable only by the account that created it. Authentication (email/password and Google sign-in) is handled by our authentication provider; we never see or store your password.
Analytics and cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and local storage to remember your light/dark theme choice. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Feedback you send
Messages sent through the feedback dialog store the category, your message, the page you were on and — if you were signed in — your account ID, so we can follow up on bugs and content errors.
Your controls
You can edit your profile at any time from Settings, change your password, and permanently delete your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, tracked certifications, study progress and quiz attempts immediately and irreversibly.
